Hi my name is Tom and I am a sound engineer/producer and tutor living in London. I have used Logic and ProTools in professional studios for many years and I love making music :-)

Recent studio projects include recording vocals for a Cadburys commercial at Britannia Row Studios, compiling tracks from DAT for a Billy Bragg release and recording vocals for a new Girl Band. At my home studio I have been co-writing and producing tracks with Songwriter Shamir Khona, and recording production music for Felt Music, with Jatinder Chopra. Outside the studio, I have been teaching, tutoring and mentoring loads of great and talented people! |

Recently I've been juggling my time between the studio and teaching. At Britannia Row Studios, I recorded young talent Effie with her new single, and also tracks for Sony Music with Loick Essien. Engineered sessions with top songwriter Tom Nichols and various female artists. Co-wrote and produced three new tracks for Ella Montclare and also recorded vocals with producer Nick Southwood. Had a composition selected for a Focus Music cd release with co-writer Jatinder Chopra. Mastered tracks by folk singer Nemo Shaw and mixed a track for Henry Marire. Also mixed and mastered all the interviews for the Londonders Testimonies project, a lottery-funded project in partnership with Brent council to capture the views of Londoners about the 2012 Olympics. |
| Logic 9.1.4 Update |
| Apple have released an update for Logic Studio. It includes loads of fixes for small bugs; more info is available in the full Logic 9.1.4 release notes . However you do wonder why they didn't fix these bugs in the previous version. I dont find that they updates ever make any difference to how my system runs, but there is no harm in doing it so I would recommend you update. |

I had the software and several plug-ins installed on my PC for quite a while but had never really managed to get cracking, mainly because I also never figured out the proper settings for PC, mixer, piano, MIDI interface, etc. (neither did the first tutor I had consulted a while back!)
